At Willard Grade Center, our challenge is to bring our students' elementary education to a close and prepare them for the junior high system. Willard Grade Center is a 5th and 6th Grade Center with a student enrollment of approximately 400 students. Our building is open each day at 7:30am.
Students at Willard are offered a variety of educational experiences. The new I-Dart Stem Lab offers students hands on experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Our AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) program along with our ICAP (Individual Career Academic Planning) implementation are designed to ensure student success. We also have several computer based learning programs. TTM (Think Through Math), Accelerated Reader, Reading Plus, Moby Max, STAR Reading & STAR Math are all utilized at Willard.
In addition to our outstanding academic opportunities, Willard offers several extracurricular choices. A few of those are: basketball, track, academic team, student council, honor choir, band, Starquest, and robotics.
Each Spring during the first week in May, our 6th grade students have the chance to participate in an outdoor classroom environment at Camp Goddard. This is one of Ada City Schools oldest and most prestigious programs.
Willard Grade Center is an exciting place for 5th and 6th grade students to expand their academic and social horizons. We invite you to come learn and grow with us.
