At Willard Grade Center, our challenge is to bring our student's elementary education to a close and prepare them for the junior high system with Great Expectations!   This plan is accomplished over a two-year period serving the 5th and 6th grade students of the Ada City School System.  The services offered at Willard begin early each day at 6:30 a.m. with our M.S.E.P. (Morning Secure Environment Program), which is a free service to all of our students.  Breakfast is offered each morning and lunch at midday in our cafeteria.  As with all schools in the Ada System, Willard too is on the school bus system, which provides transportation within our school district before and after school.

 During the 5th grade year, the students are eased into a class rotating system with a couple of class changes each day within teaching teams.  A full 30-station computer lab, music instruction and library instruction are provided each week.  The Accelerated Reader Program is utilized in our 5th grade reading classes.

In their 6th grade year, a full class rotation is utilized with our students exchanging classes each class period.  Each student has one elective course, which includes either beginning band, or computer/music.   Our 6th graders are also provided one semester of the D.A.R.E. Program.

Physical Education instruction is provided on a daily basis to all of our 5th and 6th graders.  Each spring during the first week in May, our 6th grade students are offered the opportunity to participate in our outdoor class environment as they may attend Camp Goddard.  Students are bussed to camp located on the southern shores of Lake of the Arbuckle's on Monday and return to Ada on Friday.  This is one of Ada City Schools' oldest and more prestigious programs.
