Ada High School: A Tradition of Excellence
Since the inception of the Oklahoma Academic Scholar Program in 1988, Ada High School has had 416 Oklahoma Academic Scholars. To earn this distinction, students must score at least 27 on the ACT and graduate with a minimum 3.75 cumulative GPA.
Ada High School has also produced 48 National Merit Finalists and 27 Oklahoma Academic All-Staters, an honor recognizing students among the top 100 academic students in the state. In 2012, Ada High School was recognized by ACT as one of the top ten high schools in Oklahoma based on composite ACT scores. In 2005, Ada High School was named Oklahoma High School of the Year by the Oklahoma Bar Association.

Academically, Ada High School currently offers 13 Advanced Placement courses, providing students with opportunities to challenge themselves through college-level coursework. AP offerings include Biology, Calculus AB, Computer Science A, English Language and Composition, English Literature and Composition, Environmental Science, European History, Government, Precalculus, Studio Art:2D Design, Studio Art 3D Design, Studio Art: Drawing, and U.S History.
To date, Ada High School has had 97 AP Scholars, students who have successfully passed at least three AP examinations. In addition, Ada High School was selected as one of the only four high schools in Oklahoma to participate in the National Math and Science Consortium. This program is designed to encourage students to enroll in advanced coursework in mathematics, science, and English.
