At Willard Grade Center, we are committed to guiding our 5th and 6th grade students as they complete their elementary education and prepare for the transition to junior high. With an enrollment of approximately 400 students, our school opens each day at 7:15 a.m., offering a supportive and engaging environment. ** We offer many exciting opportunities for our students at Willard Grade Center. Through Individual Career Academic Planning (ICAP), we ensure each student is prepared academically and personally for future challenges. To support personalized learning, we utilize a variety of computer-based programs such as Accelerated Reader, IXL, and STAR Math. In addition to academics, Willard provides a wide range of extracurricular activities designed to help students explore their interests and develop teamwork skills. These include basketball, track, academic team, art, performing arts, STEM, band, and robotics. One of our most treasured traditions is the annual 6th-grade trip to Camp Goddard, held during the first week of May. This outdoor classroom experience is one of Ada City Schools’ oldest and most prestigious programs, giving students a unique opportunity to connect with nature and learn beyond the classroom. Willard Grade Center is an exciting place where 5th and 6th graders can expand both their academic and social horizons. We warmly invite families and students to join us in this journey of learning and growth.
Willard Grade Center Drop-Off School begins at 7:40 am. The building opens at 7:15am. Students may be dropped off beginning at 7:15am at the Southeast Gym Doors. After 7:40am, students should enter through the front office doors. Lunch times 5th grade 11:00-11:40. 6th Grade 11:58-12:38. Pick-up School dismisses at 2:45pm. 6th grade car riders will be picked up on the corner of Center and 10th Street. 5th grade car riders will be picked up at the playground gates on 10th street near Stonewall Street. Students will not be dismissed through the front doors. Cell Phones Students may possess cell phones while on campus if they are kept in lockers or backpacks. Cell phones must remain off and may not be used during the school day. Teacher Meet and Greet August 10th 8:30 am to 3:15 pm. Come and go! Meet your teacher, drop off supplies, find your classroom, and get ready for a great school year!
